Sales Tracking & Contests

Turn the code on your product into a connection with the buyer

Generate serial codes in a pattern you choose and put them on your products. The buyer texts the code; the system checks it against your rules, sends the right reply automatically and keeps a record of every entry.

At a glance

What this service does for you

  • What it does

Builds SMS contests and campaigns, generates serial codes, checks incoming messages against your rules, replies automatically and runs prize draws.

  • What it solves

A seller rarely knows who ends up with their product; the code a buyer texts creates that connection and keeps it for later messages.

  • An example

A manufacturer that prints a code on every pack; the buyer texts it to activate the warranty and enters the monthly draw.

Uses

One code, five uses

  • Warranty sign-up

The buyer activates their warranty by texting the code on the product.

  • Code check

The buyer asks whether the code on the product was issued by you and has not been registered before.

  • Customer club

Each buyer who registers a code stays on your list of participants, ready for your next messages.

  • Points and repeat purchases

Each code is worth a set number of points, and the number of codes a buyer has registered shows their repeat purchases.

  • Contests and prize draws

Draw winners from the participants, as many as you choose.

Contest types

Five kinds of SMS contest

  • Multiple choice

A question with several options; right and wrong answers get their own automatic reply.

  • Keyword

    Participants text the right keyword.

  • Serial

Participants text the serial code on the product.

  • Serial with keyword

The serial code is sent together with a keyword.

  • Serial with points

Each code earns a set number of points, following the distribution you define.

Rules and replies

The right reply to every message

  • Serial generation

Set the number, length, prefix and suffix of the codes, and generate them in sequence or at random.

  • Automatic replies

Write separate replies for a valid code, an invalid code and blacklisted numbers.

  • Schedule

Set when each contest starts and ends, from three days to a year.

Knowing your buyers

Every entry, a sign of a sale

Reports are built from the codes registered; the more precisely you tie codes to products and sales channels, the clearer the picture of your buyers.

  • Product and dealer

Generate a separate series of codes for each product or dealer, so each entry shows where it came from.

  • Repeat purchases

The number of codes each number has registered shows how many purchases it has recorded.

  • Time of entry

The time each SMS arrives is recorded; it is when the buyer engaged, not necessarily when they bought.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Does it show where the purchase was made?
Not from the SMS itself. The region comes from the series of codes you generated for each dealer or region, or from what the buyer tells you.
Does a valid code prove the product is genuine?
No. The system tells you that you issued the code and how many times it has been registered; whether the physical product is genuine also depends on how the codes are printed and distributed.
Which number does the buyer text?
The SMS line you choose for each contest.
