Social Messaging

Long texts and rich media, on the apps your customers already use

On messaging apps a message is not cut into short parts like an SMS, and you can send images, videos and files too. Connect your own line or bot to DiceX and run your sends from the panel or through the API.

At a glance

What this service does for you

  • What it does

Sends messages, images, videos and files from the lines and bots connected to your account, to one person or a group of contacts, and shows the delivery status of each message.

  • What it solves

A message that is long or needs pictures and files does not fit in an SMS; a messaging app delivers it whole, with its media.

  • An example

An online shop that sends its buyers an album of new products and a size guide on WhatsApp, and reads their replies in the panel.

Channels

Which apps to send on

WhatsApp for contacts everywhere, plus Telegram and Discord bots.

  • WhatsApp

Send messages, images, videos, files, polls, contact cards and locations from your own WhatsApp number.

  • Telegram bot

Message people from your organisation's Telegram bot once they have started a chat with it or added it to their group.

  • Discord bot

Send messages and alerts to the channels of your Discord server; Discord messages a channel, not a phone number.

Content

What an SMS cannot do

  • Long texts

A message arrives in one piece and is not split and charged in parts like an SMS; each app has its own length limit.

  • Images, videos and files

Send a product photo, an introduction video, an invoice or a guide with your message.

  • Polls, contacts and locations

On WhatsApp you can also send polls, contact cards and locations.

Sending and reports

From the panel or the API, with a report on every message

  • Send from the panel

Send to numbers you enter, to phone book groups or from an Excel file, and choose when the messages go out.

  • Rotation across lines

Spread your sends across several active lines, in the shares you set.

  • Delivery status and incoming messages

See whether each message was sent, reached the device or was read, and read the replies and files you receive.

  • The messaging API

Send messages, files and polls from your own software, check the status of each message and read incoming ones.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

What does a contact need to receive a message?
An account on the same app. With a Telegram bot, the person must first have started a chat with the bot or added it to their group; having their phone number is not enough.
Is there a limit on message length or volume?
A message is not split into parts like an SMS, but each app has its own rules on text length, file size and sending rate; sending is not unlimited.
Do messaging apps replace SMS?
Not always. An SMS arrives without internet access or an app and suits login codes and critical messages better; messaging apps suit long texts and rich media. Both work from the same account and wallet.
How is it charged?
Activating each line has its own cost, shown before you confirm; usage is paid from your DiceX wallet.
